ENGLERT - Francis X. III November 7, 2011; beloved husband of Judith (Pepe); dear father of Sarah (Michael) Martineck, Jennifer (Dr. Jeffrey) DeRose, Jessica and Francis X. Englert, IV.; cherished grandfather of Nina and Maxwell Martineck, Ella and Anna DeRose; son of the late Francis and Mae (Tynan) Englert; brother of Robert; survived by a large loving family and many devoted friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:30 AM (today) in All Saints Church, 205 Esser Ave., Buffalo. (Please assemble at the church.) Fran's lifelong career was in banking with Buffalo Savings Bank, Goldome and M&T Bank. He proudly served in Vietnam and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 9249. Formula I racing was his love along with the Buffalo Bills and St. Bonaventure Basketball. A graduate of St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute, a '61 graduate, he enjoyed his 50th Reunion this past summer. Fran's "Fellows of Riverside", his friends and of course his family were always number one in his life. I was so surprised to hear of Shneppers passing. He was a very smart man, understanding, and sympathetic. He was all proud of being a St. Joe's alumni.

So sorry about Fran's passing. I was an associate of Frans at BSB/Goldome. Fran was so enthusiastic about his work at the bank and his St. Joe legacy and everything Buffalo. When we opened a new bank on Court Street in 1999 and called it the Greater Buffalo Savings Bank, Fran was our first customer, even though he was working at M & T at the time. We will miss him at the Fairdale for the BSB reunion luncheons. Cherish the memories.

Dear Judy and Family,

We were so saddened to hear of Francis' passing. Jeff said he had been ill for the last few months. It must have been difficult for you all.

We're sorry that we could not attend the funeral, but as you know we're in Florida right now.

Just know that our thoughts are with you all and our hope is that, as a family, you can get strength from each other.

We didn't know him very well, but I remember the first time we met when we had dinner with Jeff and Jenn after their graduation from Fredonia. I saw him as a happy man who loved, and was proud of, his children.

Our best to you and all of your family,

Judi and Rich

Judy,
During the past forty-five years, we shared double dates, engagements, wedding celebrations, waited patiently during a tour in Viet Nam, and then celebrated the birth of each of our children together. Times filled with love, happiness and joy! Fran lives on in you and yours. Find comfort and strength in one another.
With my heartfelt sympathy,

He loved his family and talked about all of you often. My sincere sympathy.

Judy,Sarah, Jennifer, Jessica & Francis - our thoughts and prayers are with you today. It is always sad losing someone so close, but take heart in the memories of all the good times we had together. Fran was proud of his children and often spoke of their success. He will be missed by all of us, especially myself, as the other half of the "bobsy twins", which was a label awarded us by "brother moose" at St Joes so many years ago.
