Of Cheektowaga, NY. Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (nee Morreale) Colangelo; devoted father of Michele (Vincent O'Keefe) Colangelo, Jennifer Tulli, and the late Jolene (Mark) Simon; proud Papa of Lauren, Lindsay, Anthony, Isabella, and Sophia; predeceased by siblings James (late Anne) Colangelo, Victor (Eileen) Colangelo and Jeanette (late Albert) Edwards; dear brother-in-law of the late Salvatore (Maureen) Morreale; also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors who were more like family. Frank grew up on Buffalo's westside, graduated from Grover Cleveland High School in 1953, and married Josephine Morreale in 1960. He was a tireless supporter of his family and retired from Ford Motor Company after 26 years. In his later years, he worked at his brother Victor's store, Julie's Shoes, with his wonderful niece, CarolAnn Alcorn. He loved looking and smelling good, eating Italian food, exercising at Silver Sneakers, cheering and cursing our Buffalo Bills, playing Canasta, bowling, and keeping his car spotless inside and out. The family will be present Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Urban-AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 1024 French Rd. (near Borden Rd.), Cheektowaga. Family and friends are invited to assemble Tuesday at 10:00 AM to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Fourteen Holy Helpers Church, 1345 Indian Church Rd., West Seneca, NY 14224.
