Karen-and the rest of Frank's family--I was so sad to hear of Frank's passing. I used to work at FNRM. Frank and I were pals as he always said. He used to come up stairs and peak his head into my cubicle to say Hi! He was a good man! I will miss him....my pal.

To the Mathews Family,

I was so shocked to hear of my neighbors passing, I'm still upset over it, even though we were neighbors, I did not find out about his passing until recently when I came home from work and found his daughter clearing out his apt. I will miss him so much. He was my friend. When ever he saw me, he would always great me with this saying "there's my neighbor! You work so much I don't get to see you much! How are you, you ok, you made my day now that I've seen you!" He would always say that with that twinkle in his eye. We were also birthday buddies. When he found out mine was 8/1, and his was 8/3, for the last 3 years, he would always slip a card under my door, and I would slip him one too. The last time I saw him, he said he wanted me to attend church with him,I told him I would, So when I go to church Sunday, I will send up a special prayer for my friend and good neighbor.

Frank was our landlord when I worked at URS on Delaware. He loved us as we were part of his family. He was a great man, always looking out for those less fortunate than him. My kids never forgot when you took them for a walk down by the water and the sea gulls pooped on you. And you took them to church to light a candle for our family. I'm sorry we weren't able to meet for lunch, Frank, we'll miss you. We will raise a glass and celebrate your life. Love you Frankie!

As fellow Croations In Lackawanna's 1st ward our families knew each other well. The stories Frank recanted to me about those times were heart warming and facinating. We have lost a great man and historian. My sincere condolences to his family and to his son, a childhood and lifelong friend.
