My thoughts and prayers go out to the Cohen family on the passing of Freda. Her late husband, Victor, was my doctor through my childhood and into my 20's until his retirement. He was the most kind, gentle and jovial man - I will never forget his twinkling eyes, his infectious smile and his soothing manner. And I will always remember seeing Freda's artwork in his office - even today, I can still see each brushstroke, every texture, every dab of colors in my minds eye. Her art was a soothing and calming influence on a young, needle-shy child - like a well-loved friend, I returned to it on every office visit and found something new and wonderful with each viewing. There aren't words fine enough to express the wonderful memories I will always have of Dr. Cohen and Freda both - they will always be in my heart.

Dear Barbara,
What a wonderful, happy person your mother was. She was a wonderful example and a very talented woman. I loved meeting her in the halls of The Park Lane. She was beautiful and always made me smile. Sorry I will not be at the service tomorrow but I am leaving for Maine to be with Bob Cotsen, my brother Sandy and his wife and many of our children. My thoughts are with you and I send my love. Lizzy
