May 20, 1963 - January 24, 2025
Beloved son of the late William and Anne. Brother of the late William, Jr. (Sandra), Paul (Joan), Pamela (Peter) Flax, Patricia (Thomas) Scott, Daniel, Barbara (Alan) Mudie, Beverly (Kevin) O'Connor. Uncle to 16 nieces and nephews as well as great-uncle of 11. He was a loving fur-dad to (late) Buddy and Daisy. Gary was an avid amateur photographer. He also held a private airman certificate (pilot's license) and enjoyed his flying. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 12 at the American Legion, 5850 Goodrich Road, Clarence Center, NY 14032 1-5pm.

Uncle Gary, you were so very dear to all of us & will be missed forever. Don't worry about Daisy, she's loved&cared for for the rest of her life. I'll never forget our synchronistic meeting on the side of the road as the sun rose,when your work truck broke down& I was heading to my next barn. I thought, hmm, that guy looked like Uncle Gary.. hmm.. there was a town truck next to that guy... Had to turn around to see. Turned out to be the most meaningful & special hour long heart to heart we ever shared, I get choked up just thinking about it, but I never walked away from you without a big smile, I always knew I could count on you for that. Please tell Dad hello for me, will miss you always

We had a good laugh when Gary said he would be building an airplane in his garage. We were also shocked one night when the shingles blew off his garage and hit our house! They left a tarry spot on our house & every now and then we find a bit of his shingles in our flower bed. He was a predictable neighbor. Next door: Dave and Kathy
