Gerald BAUMLER Obituary

BAUMLER - Gerald A. "Jerry"

Of Buffalo NY, died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at the age of 82. Mr. Baumler lived in Buffalo his entire life until moving to Pembroke, MA in 2007 with his wife, Margery Grotzka Baumler, to be near his daughter, Julie Baumler Bosworth and her husband Paul Bosworth, as well as their children, Brennan, Caroline, Charlotte and Martha. He was predeceased by his parents, Edward and Elsie Baumler, and his three siblings, Wayne, Donald and Bette. Mr. Baumler worked as a cost estimator at construction and architectural firms in the Buffalo area. He also shared his talent for building by designing and building additions on the homes of friends and family. Jerry was a First Lieutenant in the Korean War, and an Officer in the Corp of Engineers at Fort Belvoir, VA. He attended St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute and the University of Buffalo. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Thecla's Roman Catholic Church, 145 Washington St, Pembroke, MA. Mr. Baumler will be buried at the National Veteran's Cemetery in Bourne, MA at a later date. A Memorial Mass will take place in Buffalo, NY on Saturday, July 13, 2013, at 9:00 AM at St. Leo the Great Roman Catholic Church, 885 Sweet Home Rd, Amherst, NY. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Jerry's name to Homes for Our Troops (www.homesforourtroops.org) or to a charity of your choice.
