Matthew Joseph Baumler, 50, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on April 30, 2025.
He was born in Louisville on October 31, 1974 to Jay and Brenda Baumler. Matthew was a very kind hearted and loving person, who tried to help everyone he knew. He loved old muscle cars and had a special affinity for Mopar. In his spare times he could be found working on his cars and exploring junkyards and antique stores looking for treasures.
Matthew is survived by his daughter, Dr. Alyssa Brooke Baumler; his parents, Jay and Brenda Baumler; brother, Mark Baumler (Erin); nephews, Gunner and Maksim Baumler; niece, Jillian Baumler; girlfriend, Lisa Sims; and many aunts, uncles, and extended family members.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Patricia Terry, and William Joseph Baumler and Carol Elizabeth Diebold Baumler; uncles, Randy Brantley and John Fleming; and aunts, Anna Baumler and Patricia Sobota.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Newcomer, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, KY 40243. A funeral service will be held that evening at the funeral home at 6:00 pm.
