To Stan and the entire Sobaszek Family. I was saddened to hear of Gerry's death. I have so many fond memories of Sobi. We lived downstairs from Gerry's family on Rich Place. I was about 4 years old when Gerry put me on that Schwinn bicycle and drove me around the local streets to deliver his newspapers. I was thrilled. He was THE very first friend I met in my life. He protected me and looked out for me during my life in Lackawanna. At 16 while walking home one late evening, Gerry pulled up in his squad car and said "Hey Joey, everything ok? I replied, "yes officer", he smiled and said "if you ever need anything, just let me know and say hi to your Mom and Dad and behave yourself". Sobi, you were my friend and will always be remembered. May you Rest In Peace.

Dearest Sobi always such a wonderful sweet amazing fun man. I always cherished and enjoyed our conversations and your stories and of course all the jokes. But most of all how you spoke of your Saint of a wife and your children and grandchildren. Thank you for always being a friend, an ear and most of all someone that Brian looked up to. You were always great and fun to be around. I am so glad you were a part of our special day and will treasure all the fun times.
My deepest sympathy to your wife and family. You truly were a blessing.
