CHAPMAN TALLEY - Geraldine "Gerri"
Of Buffalo. A devoted mother and loving sister. Geraldine Chapman Talley, 62, died Saturday, May 14, 2022 in Buffalo, NY. Gerri was born June 3, 1959 in Grove Hill, Alabama to the late Fannie Beatrice and James Chapman. Gerri loved spending time with family, sitting by the water and baking. Gerri moved to Buffalo, NY in 1971 with her parents and her sister. In 1981, Gerri graduated with a degree in secretarial science from Bryant & Stratton College. Gerri is survived by her children, Genicia Smith, Mark Talley, Jr. (Rosh-Neke D. Talley), and stepdaughter Marquish Jacobs; three sisters and one brother and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. Gerri will be remembered for her beautiful spirit, her dimpled smile and immense love for her family. Relatives and friends are invited to The Mount Aaron Missionary Baptist Church, 540 Genesee Street, Buffalo, New York 14202, on Friday (May 27th) from 10-11 AM. Dear Genicia, Mark, Marquish, Gregory, and All Family,
Words just cannot convey how saddened I am for your tragic loss of your dear Gerri, and I send heartfelt condolences to the Talley family, and the Buffalo community. We look forward to the time when tragedies like this will not happen anymore, and we will live in peace. Please know that Gerri will not be forgotten; she will be remembered by all who loved her. Her caring nature and loving personality selfless love for her family, big heart, and happy smile made an impact on all whose lives she touched.

May prayers strengthen you and cherished memories comfort you. The God of love and comfort will give you the strength and peace to cope. With deepest sympathy, may the power of prayer ease your sorrow, give you peace and provide much comfort for you during this difficult time.
