Of Bryant Hill Road passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025. Harold was born on January 17, 1941, in Buffalo and was the son of Harold A. and Dorothy Fleischman Schwab Sr. On June 9, 1962, at St. Albert's in North Tonawanda, he married Dauna Lasher, who predeceased him on July 29, 2023. Harold was a 1959 graduate of Bishop Fallon High school in Buffalo and continued his education at Erie Technical School Institute for Engineering where he earned his Associates degree. He worked for Chevrolet Foundry in Buffalo as a millwright under the UAW Local 1147 for 25 years. Harold and his wife owned D.L. Schwab Service doing HVAC work. He also worked at MRC Bearing in Jamestown and was a maintenance supervisor at St. Bonaventure University. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus where he held an office of Sgt. Of Arms 3rd degree. Harold was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working with his hands; he built three houses throughout his lifetime. His mechanical knowledge was passed on to his children. Harold is survived by; three children, Cynthia A. Schwab of Tucson, AZ, Harold A. Schwab III of Franklinville and Verity M. D. (Joshua Blatchley) Folan of Hamburg and three grandchildren, T. Lydia (Mal), Ryan, Aidan. Harold was predeceased by his parents, his wife, Dauna, and siblings, Mary Ann Delaney and Douglas Schwab. Friends will be received at the Babbitt & Easton Funeral Home, 7 North Main Street, Franklinville on Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Holy Name of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 22 Jefferson Street, Ellicottville on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., where Father Charles will officiate.
