Dear Eleanor:
I am sorry for your loss. Know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
You and Howard were wonderful neighbors and a big part of my parent's lives; therefore, you hold a special place in the tapestry of mine.
When I recall my years at 7 Bostwick, high on my list of memories is rolling into the driveway and seeing my Dad and Howard passing their afternoons in two lounge chairs, seemingly discussing the state of affairs in the world. Those that knew them better were aware there was a 70% chance they were bickering! Somehow, this gave me the feeling that all was right in my world and I was back home in the neighborhood and safe. From this point forward, when storm clouds appear, the wind picks up and I hear claps of thunder, I will know they've found each other and are at it again. And, once more, I will smile and feel things are normal and I am safe.
Stay strong. Know that you are in the hearts and minds of many.

Our deepest condolences, Eleanor, as always we will be there for anything you need, Howard will be sadly missed in our neighborhood. My talks with Howard were very dear to me and the last year I have missed them. He will be forever remembered and his wit and smile will continue to live across the street and be a fond memory. Take comfort in knowing that he is in a place God has set aside for him. Our thoughts, prayers and sadness Ralph, Betty & Kim
