What Dr. Swartney shared with prospective science teachers was invaluable. How fortunate I am to have had her as a mentor. She was one of a kind...and will be missed.

As a Science Teacher BS 68, MS 71 from Buff State, and Chair of the WNY Science Congress for a year or two during my career, Joyce was a valued friend and supporter of Education. I recall her sense of humor and joy of living. A fine lady!
