Mr. Carl was the best. We all loved and respected him (class of 83´). He was that teacher who really cared about us. I took all of his classes and wish I could have taken more. He is the reason I became an Industrial Arts teacher. He really was the best. "Whoa there Mr. ......." And he taught me so much. He was a great teacher!

I had the honor to have taught with Jack for the entire 30 yrs of his tenure at Grand Island High School.
He was an inspiration to his students and to the staff. A "giant" of a man that was admired by all that he taught.
An example: When ever I get my car fixed one of his students faithfully asks about his favorite teacher, Mr Carl ,who inspired him in his very successful repair business. This type of comment I have heard many times.
Jacks legacy ,in part, is the inspiration and decency he instilled in the many hundreds of students who knew him.
Rest In Peace my dear colleague.

I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the Carl family
I was very sad to hear that Mr. Carl had passed away as he was my metal shop teacher in high school.
His patience, knowledge and sense of humor left a lasting impression on me throughout the years and to this day I still remember and use the lessons and information he taught. He was the teacher who really made a difference in my life.
Rest in peace Mr. Carl

My condolences for your loss. Take solace in knowing your Father truly was a Great man. I graduated in 1983. His influence in so many children´s lives, will never be forgotten. What he taught us will surely be passed down to our children. He showed so many what the true meaning of being a Teacher was.
May he Rest In Peace.

We want to extend our most complete sympathy to Jill and the family. Jack was a loyal and constant friend to our family. His lifelong friendship began with my Dad at Buffalo State (Coles) and was in my parent's wedding so many years ago. The friendship they shared added so much to the lives of our parents. Jack was a solid man with a fantastic sense of humor and is fondly remembered.
