James CURRY Obituary

CURRY - James M., Sr. Age 83, of the City of Tonawanda and formerly of Kenmore, April 14, 2020. Husband of 60 years, to the late Shirley A. (nee King) Curry who died in 2015; father of Cathy Curry, Debbie Rumbold, Mary (Martin) Korkuc and James (Debbie) Curry, Jr.; grandfather of Michelle (Andrew) Decker, Amy (John) McGinty, Suzanne Curry, Lindsay (Damon) Haigh and Kelly (Jarek) Flanders; great-grandfather of Rory Patrick McGinty, Brooke Decker, Remmington Alexander Haigh, Addison Grace McGinty, Eliana Clementine Haigh, Gavin and Savannah Decker; brother of Sister Rose Curry, Virginia (late Ted) Loecher and the late Mary Catherine (late Charles) Lomas; also survived by nieces and nephews. James was a 1954 graduate of Kenmore West High School and was a US Marine Corps. Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was also a former Baseball, Football and Softball Coach for many years. There will be no prior visitation. A private Prayer Service was held at Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Military Honors for the immediate family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, the American Cancer Society or to the Wounded Warriors. Condolences may be shared at www.ROTHFUNERAL.com.
