Jim was my first inspiration in the business world and my first real employer. His energy and guidance showed me the way. Photography is good but the business of photography was the world. I have always missed him. Warm wishes to Barb and his family.

Jim was kind & helpful to many PTA members who were fortunate enough to know him through K&R, and the school picture business over many years. I met him in Hamburg & over the years he participated at the NYS PTA conventions. Jim would always remember our names & greet us like old friends. He will be dearly missed by many PTA friends.

To the Dock family,
I would just like to let you know how much I respected Jim as a true gentleman. Despite being competitors in business for over thirty years, I can honestly tell you that I hold nothing but admiration for him . He was a honest, hard working man. Just a real "good guy".
A few years ago, while attending a trade show in Las Vegas, I had the opportuity to share conversation with him and to let him know how I felt about him.
I am truly sorry for your loss. We were all very blessed to have known him.

Barbara, Kelly & Denise: I am really sorry to hear about your Dad. While I only worked at K&R for a year, I liked him as a boss and I can see he was a good husband & father as well. My thoughts are with all of you at this difficult time.

Barbara, Kelly and Denise- I just wanted you guys to know how sorry I am and that I'm thinking of you all. I had a fair amount of fun talking the picture biz with Jim among other things and it was always great fun to be around the Knack and Richards crew.

More like a Father than a boss, more like a coach, than a judge.
I will miss your stories, and your wisdom, your kindness, and your encouragement. I will miss the warm summer days on the fore deck sailing with you at the tiller. My Love and gratitude belong to you and your family.
