Tammy Lynn Dock, 54, of New Castle passed away peacefully in her sleep Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Hickory Creek of New Castle. She was born January 15, 1972 in Chicago, Illinois to Lenore (Hilton) Dock.
Tammy was a proud PTO mother and always supported everything her children were involved with. She worked at Shaw Carpet Shop in Georgia for several years. She always loved to laugh and have a good time. Tammy loved the outdoors including hunting, fishing, swimming and playing softball. She had a tragic accident in 1996 that claimed much of her livelihood and suffered many years’ worth of health complications. She was able to remain at home with her family until 2007 until her health wouldn’t allow it any longer and she needed more care when she became a resident of Hickory Creek in New Castle.
She is survived by her children, Ashley Dock (Joe Driskill), Philip (Robin) Dock; granddaughters, Savannah, Marissa, Bella and Alaina Dock; step father, Robert Dock; siblings, Richie (Brenda) Runkle, Karen (Gary) Buell and Nancy Runkle (William Bohannon); mother-in-law, Marilyn Weaver; sister-in-law, Karen (Clint) Frost; brother-in-law, Jeff Carter; nieces and nephews, Michaela Runkle, Gary Wayne Buell, Kimberly Buell (Jeremiah Young), Olivander Buell, Jacob Pence, Kyle Pence and Caleb Carter and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She is preceded in death by her mother, husband, David Dock and father-in-law, Johnnie Weaver Sr.
A celebration of her life will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, January 30, 2026 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
