James GANGLOFF Obituary
April 27, 2022. Beloved husband of 37 years to Nancy (Egan) Gangloff who he met on a blind date 40 years ago. Dearest father of James E. (Amanda) Gangloff III, Jeremy F. Gangloff, and Nicole M. (Jonathan) Binns. Devoted grandpa to James E. Gangloff IV and Jack D. Gangloff. Son of the late James E. and Grace (Reardon) Gangloff. Dear brother of the late Judy (survived by John) Colvin and the late Jeanne Gangloff. James was a former printer who then went on to teach at Infant of Prague School and subbed at many others. He demonstrated his love for children by being a Boy Scout leader for Troop 470 for years, and coaching soccer and basketball for elementary school. James loved all dogs, especially German Shepherds; the outdoors, and spending time hunting and cutting the grass at his property in Otto, NY. In recent years he enjoyed vegetable gardening, cooking, baking, and smoking meats. He was an avid traveler who visited all 50 states and also loved watching the Bills, Sabres, and Yankees. The family will be present Sunday, May 1st from 2 to 7 PM at the (Cleveland Hill Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, 569 Cleveland Drive. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, May 2nd at 10 AM in Infant of Prague Church, 921 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga, NY. Please assemble at church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in James' memory to Hospice Buffalo, Inc. Share condolences online at

I have such fond memories of our times together in the Adirondacks and growing up! We were out of town and so sorry to miss the celebration of his wonderful life

The name James E. Gangloff (I know from a very personal relationship) carries a special meaning of Love, Selfllessness ,Service ,JOY and much more. Jimmy , like his father, lived the Gangloff tradition. I am sure his son and his grandson(s) will follow in hs very big footsteps, Much Love to a wonderful family
