June 5, 1959 - March 14, 2024
Passed away on March 14, 2024 surrounded by his loving family and friends at the age of 64. James was a retired Decorated Buffalo Police Officer with 30 years of service in the Delta District. Beloved father of Samantha (Joshua) Malkowski, Stephanie (Phil) Hacker-Bochorksi, Kimberly (Nick) McMahon and Jacob Hacker; loving Grandpa to Cooper, Bristol, Violet and Elle; he will be sadly missed by many siblings, nieces, and nephews. The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to Tony, Debbie and Diego Figueroa who were like family and to his girlfriend, Angela Francoforte, who never left his side. The family will be present Sunday, March 17, 2024 from 2-6 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Dr. (at Hopkins Rd.). Family and friends are invited to assemble Monday, March 18, 2024 at 10 AM to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at Queen of Martyr's Church, 180 George Urban Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14225. I just found out today as my sister never texted me and told me or I would have donated to the Go Fund Me page. So sorry for your loss. Jim was always the life of every party and made me laugh whenever we were around each other. I know he'll be missed.

I worked with Jimmy at Precinct#17 and then again at D-District. Jimmy had the reputation of being a hard working, honest Police Officer.
He made the difference in the countless lives of the people he helped. It was an honor to have worked with him.
