Loving husband of Elder Mary Ruth (nee Morrow); father of Dr. Jennifer Kapsiak and Bradford Kapsiak; grandfather of Noah, Aiden and Blake; brother of David Kapsiak; stepson of Stan Kapsiak of Webster, NY; long time best friend of Charlie SanGeorge; godfather of Matthew Terrance Smith of East Amherst, NY, Lydia Smith Hordges of Austell, GA, Christopher John Gibson of Buffalo, NY, Mieko Cromer of Atlanta, GA, and Lovell Pompey, Jr. of Buffalo, NY; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special pets: King and Prince. The family will receive friends Friday, July 11, 2025 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, July 12, 2025 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. John Baptist Church, 184 Goodell Street, Buffalo, NY, where a Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday 11 a.m. Overseer Michael Chapman, Officiating. My sincere condolences, Ruth and family. I recently read in the monthly Buffalo Retired Teacher Bulletin when it arrived in my Florida home, of Jim's passing, I taught with Jim at Emerson while you were also there, Ruth. I have fond memories of you both and was sad to read of Jim's passing.

To the Kapsiak family. I was sorry to read of Jim's passing. I took some computer classes at night at Emerson from him. He was very helpful in helping me manage my way around the computer. So sorry for your loss.
