Beloved son of the late James Sr. and Carol (Higgins) Kautz. Brother of Carolyn (late Brian) Armstrong, Lea Kautz, Kristine (Scott) Feda, Judith Kautz and Daniel (Mary Lynne) Kautz. Uncle of Katie (fiance Chris Stegos) and Amy (Stephen) VanHoesen. Friends may call Tuesday, 4-7 PM at THE DIETRICH FUNERAL HOME, 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9:30 AM at Christ The King Church, 30 Lamarck Dr., Amherst, NY. Please assemble at church. A burial will take place after Mass at Acacia Park Cemetery, 4215 Tonawanda Creek Rd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Memorials made to a charity of your choice. The Kautz family would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, caregivers, family and friends for providing many years of compassionate care and love to our brother. It was such a pleasure knowing Jimmy. I always enjoyed watching him hide things under his baseball cap when he thought no one was looking. A wonderful man with a beautiful sense of humor. His parents were such lovely people as well. My deepest sympathy to his loving and devoted family. Please give Judy a big hug for me.

What A great picture of James. Just as I remember him when he was in my program back in early 90s. You could always count on James to bring a smile to your face and his smile would light up the room. I feel blessed to have known him. Prayers and blessings to his family and friends.

So sad to see that Jimmy passed away, he was such a fun man! I will always think of him when I hear "proud Mary" and remember how would roll his arms to the song...Fly high Jimmy...
