Loved his gentleness and Audrey just saw a picture of you. You remain youthful. I will never forget your getting out of the cafeteria to speak with my family who had just left Cuba and were in Miami

James Mang and the other dedicated and selfless people at the WNY Peace Center helped me tremendously some 50 years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday. They very likely saved my life.
I have not and will not ever forget my debt to them.
James was a wonderful man who truly did the will of our Savior.
May God bless his family always.
Very sincerely,
George Wilkins

Jim brought the spirit of hopefulness through his tenaciousness and perseverance to family, friends and strangers. Because of a family connection of ours through his brother, Peter, and Peter's in-laws, Karen and Rick, we met Jim, Audrey and other family members. How important and special our relationships to one another are. And how thankful we are for all the good that Jim did on earth.

My sympathy goes out to Audrey, Kathy, and all of Jim's family and friends. He was an inspiration to me in his work at the Buffalo Peace Center and as founder and Chair of the Social Justice Committee at St. Joseph University Parish. His life and work exemplify the Beatitudes, in my book!

I knew Jim back in the day. He married my wife Patty and I nearly 50 years ago. Though we fwll out of touch long ago, as so many good friends have, I'll always remember Jim as not merely a nice man but a good man. And I know that's a conviction held by everyone who knew him.

Dear Audrey and family, my condolences on Jim's passing. At our Sunday Mass, Father Duke at the prayers of the faithful spoke of Jim and how he was one of the greatest men he had ever known. From the past, I remember Jim as someone very special. He has been welcomed home.

Jim was one of the truly righteous ones, but someone whose fight for justice was unflinching and whose heart was humble. The Lord will take him to heart. For decades he has been a model and a leader, teaching the rest of us what true caring means and the cost of seeking peace through pursuing justice. May he rest in peace and be rewarded for his labors. May his sacred memory and goodness surround Audrey and family and give you peace. In the love that gives us God,

So nice memories of him. A quality individual and he was just so constant and positive in interactions with him. So nice that our high school years were blessed to have him with us.

So sorry about your loss! I was a student in the Diocesan Preparatory Seminary and Jim was probably the nicest and most down to earth instructor and most of all friend to everyone there. My encounters with Jim helped contribute to making my life one filled with charity and compassion. Rest in Peace
