Born in North Tonawanda, NY Jim was a proud and hardworking man who touched many lives throughout his journey. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Kaiser, and his brother, John Strongren. Jim is survived by his beloved wife, Colleen Strongren; his children, Tonya (Justin) Albone, James (Roberta) Strongren Jr., and Angela (Raul) Yas; as well as his cherished grandchildren: Brittni, Deleah, Noah, Madison, Khloe, Kimberly, Siri, Auggie, Gabbie, and Elena. He also leaves behind his great-grandson, Jack. Jim is also survived by his sister Joanne, brother Donald, and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Jim spent much of his life in Gasport, NY. He was employed for many years at International Multifoods in Lockport until its closure. An avid bowler, Jim could often be found at South Transit Lanes, where he proudly bowled in several leagues and even achieved multiple perfect 300 games. A self-reliant and determined man, Jim was known for his independent spirit and hands-on approach to life. Whether it was fixing something around the house or learning a new skill, Jim tackled every challenge head-on. A true jack of all trades, he held a commercial driver's license and spent the latter part of his career operating dump and construction trucks. After retiring, Jim and Colleen embraced a life of adventure-selling their home and traveling the country in their RV, exploring the United States together. Jim was generous with his time and always willing to lend a hand. His strong work ethic, unwavering dedication to his family, and will be remembered by all who knew him. In accordance with his wishes, Jim will be cremated. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date to honor his life.
