James Vaillancourt Obituary

Vaillancourt, James Richard

May 3, 1941 - August 14, 2025

Died at his home in Franklin, Tennessee on August 14, 2025. He survived his wife, Mary Jo Anderson Vaillancourt, who died on February 8, 2025. He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Drapanas Vaillancourt, his brother, Robert G. (Delores) Vaillancourt, his sister, Gayle Vaillancourt Eagan, and many nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his daughter, Gabrielle Fortier Vaillancourt, his parents, Philomena M. and Gerald W. Vaillancourt, his brother-in-law, James F. Eagan, and Georgia Drapanas, the mother of his daughters. Dr. Vaillancourt earned his three degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB) and worked in Administration at UB, SUNY College at Geneseo, Old Dominion University, and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. A Celebration of his Life was held in Franklin, Tennessee. Donations may be made in his memory to Saddle Up, 1549 Old Hillsboro Rd., Franklin, TN 37069.
