Joan AMROZOWICZ Obituary
Of Lackawanna, NY, April 20, 2022. Beloved daughter of the late Stanley Sr. and Helen (nee Dziechciarz) Amrozowicz; loving sister of Stanley Jr. "Chip" (Beverly) Amrozowicz; dearest aunt of Eric, Scott (Kristy), and Keith Amrozowicz; cherished great-aunt of Mila and Sadie Amrozowicz; also survived by many cousins, relatives, and friends. The family will be present on Tuesday from 3-7 PM at the (Blasdell/Lackawanna Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3450 South Park Ave., where prayers will be said on Wednesday morning at 9:30 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at Queen of Angels Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Dr. Joan was a retired professor at Buffalo State College where she mentored many other educators, a retired teacher at Lackawanna City Schools, very active in many clubs and organizations, and was always willing to help a good cause. Back in the 1980s, Dr. Amrozowicz served as the advisor for Kappa Delta Pi at Buffalo State. As a student member - I was an officer for the group - the historian. I remember the kindness and mentorship of Dr. Amrozowicz. She would take the officers to dinner - and until today - I remember the good times we had. I became a teacher and currently work at Buffalo State. Grateful that I saw her again at a campus function about 15 years ago. Keeping her family in my thoughts.

In the early 1980's,while at Buffalo State College, Dr. Amrozowicz served as my Student Teaching Supervisor. To this day, I remember her kindness, encouragement, and humor! God's blessings and peace to you, Dr. Amrozowicz.
