BROWNSCHIDLE - John J.
August 30, 2021, age 92. Beloved husband of 65 years to the late Lois (nee Hoppe) Brownschidle; devoted father of Lee (late Donna Finney), Terry (Wendy Solof), Jack (Kathy), Joanne (Tom) Brown, Mark (Pauline) and the late Jeff (Cindy Moran) Brownschidle; cherished grandfather of Sara (Duncan), Lindsay, Brian, Amy (Matt), Matt, David, A.J., Anna, John, Kevin, Chris (Megan), Jessica, Emily, Sydney, Tyler, Camryn and Connor; adored great-grandfather of Emma, Sophia, Clara, Henry, Leo, Thomas and Veronica; brother of the late Robert (Bea) Brownschidle and Iris (Al) May; also survived by nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-8 PM, at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Drive (corner of Hopkins Road), where prayers will be offered on Monday at 9:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Mary's Church, 6919 Transit Road, Swormville at 10:30 AM. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary's Church. Please share condolences at www.AMIGONE.com

He was a wonderful family man. My husband Joe remembers him as a right defensive hockey player for Buffalo Sabers and Rochester Amerks. His sons and grandchildren carried on his legacy.
