John Dasey Obituary
April 4, 1935 - April 23, 2024
Of Amherst, NY, died peacefully on April 23, 2024. Devoted husband of 64 years to Mary E. (Mercer) Dasey and loving father to Maureen Dasey-Morales (Edgar), Timothy Dasey, Mary B. Pardo (Edward) and Patricia Dasey. Grandfather to Caroline (Patrick), Catherine, Juliana, Daniel, Julia, John, Bridget and Rachel. Retired as an accountant from Sierra Research and comptroller from American Optical, he continued seasonal work for H&R Block for many years. Known for his compassion and kindness, John was a Eucharistic Minister and active member of the UB Newman Center (North), Army veteran and former President of the Amherst Kiwanis Club. No prior visitation. All are welcome to a Mass of Christian Burial at UB Newman Center, 495 Skinnersville Road, Amherst at 10am on Monday, April 29. Interment of ashes in Nativity of Our Lord Cemetery, Orchard Park. Donations may be made in his name to Niagara University or Beechwood Continuing Care. I worked with John at H & R Block. He was such a pleasure to work with. He was a caring and professional person. The term gentleman scholar certainly applied to John. My condolences to his family.
