John FRENCH Obituary
Of Lancaster, entered into rest on May 1, 2021 at age 94. Beloved husband of 71 years to Jeannette (nee Farnsworth) French; devoted father of Steven E. (Marilyn) French and Marsha E. (Daniel) Leuer; cherished grandfather of Travis (Lynn McNett) French, Jamie French, Kelly (Tony) Bisciotti, Kerry French, Chad (Jamie) Leuer, Elissa (Michael) Russell and Ashley Leuer; adored great-grandfather of Christian, Isabelle and Emily; loving son of the late John and Clara French; dear brother of the late Clara (late William) Rykert; also survived by loving nieces and nephews. John was a veteran of the US Army and served in both WWII and the Korean War. He retired from NFTA Metro. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Bowmansville United Methodist Church, 5344 Genesee St., Bowmansville, on Friday (May 7, 2021) at 10 AM. If desired, contributions in John's memory may be made to Bowmansville United Methodist Church. Arrangements by DANZER, DENGLER & ROBERTS FUNERAL HOME. Although I was young child I do remember little pieces of memory of the Barn build on Grove Road in Gasport that Uncle John helped build. There were many others that came to help our family get a decent building built to store of animals needed hay and grains as well as our tired tractor that helped save out home and family from a devastating fire. John's contribution to helping in his work helped allow those later saving events occur for us to save our home. If not for Uncle Johns assistance who knows what might have been the outcome for us! His unselfish help is what I remember! Thanks John and rest in peace now that your work here is done!
