John MacIVER Obituary

MacIVER - John D. Of Elma, NY, February 21, 2011. Close friend of Mary Molinaro; dearest father of the late Eric J. (Adair M.) MacIver; fond grandfather of Paige and Owen; brother of Carolyn (James) Vanderburgh of Texas and Thomas (Nancy) MacIver of Florida; also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service from the Jamison Road Vol. Fire Company, 1071 Jamison Rd., Elma, NY, on Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock. John was a 35 year exempt member of Jamison Road Vol. Fire Company and a decorated war veteran with two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. Sentiment may be expressed through a contribution to Hospice Buffalo, Inc. in memory of John D. MacIver. Arrangements by PAUL A. KLOC BLOSSOM CHAPELS, INC. (668-5666)

Tom, Nancy and Mary,

Our deepest condolences to you at this sorrowful time. John is in a much better place after suffering for so long. Nancy, your caring manner made such a difference in John's quality of life these last few months. Thank you for taking care of a very special person. John was a joy to work with and his sense of humor served him well in both his personal and professional lives.
