John Moore Obituary

MOORE-John R., Sr. 86 of Palm Bay, Florida, died Wednesday, September 5, 2007. A native of Buffalo, New York, he moved to Florida in August 1969 and moved to Palm Bay in 1990. Mr. Moore was a member of Highland-Ely Lodge #835 F&AM of Buffalo, New York. A volunteer fireman for twenty years, Mr. Moore was a past president of Ellicott Creek Volunteer Fire Company of Amherst, New York and Florida Highlands Volunteer Fire company of Dunnellon, Florida. He was a volunteer tutor for the Brevard County, Florida Literary Council and a volunteer for the Brevard County "Meals on Wheels". Mr. Moore was a past member of the Marion Community Hospital Auxiliary of Ocala, Florida. He was a member of the American Red Cross disaster services having assisted in seventeen disasters nationwide. Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of sixty-one years Dorothy S. Moore, a son Arthur W.(Stephanie Goodman) Moore of Buda,Texas, a daughter Priscilla Rogers ofParkland, Florida, five grandchildrenand four great-grandchildren. He waspreceded in death by a son John Richard Moore, Jr. Private arrangementswill be at the family's convenience.The family would prefer memorial contributions be made to William ChildsHospice House, 381 Medplex, PalmBay, Florida, 32907 or the charity ofones choice. Arrangements by FOUNTAINHEAD MEMORIAL FUNERALHOME.
