Deepest Sympathies and prayers to you all! I was a class mate and teammate of John's 30 years ago at SFHS, our circles intersected a little bit back then. My wife and I relocated to Richmond VA 25 years ago, unfortunately we didn't stay in touch all these years since I left Buffalo. I always liked John and thought fondly of him. A couple of us ended up here in Richmond John came up periodically as we reminisced about the "glory days" at Saint Francis and playing ball. In this difficult time I hope you find some comfort in the lasting joy John gave many of us that knew him even way back in the day. God Bless you all.

Popp family, I worked with John over 20 years, he was the most admired officer in the department. John would make you laugh and feel like somebody even if it was a rough day. John will most definitely be missed by all. Tiffany... I never met you, however if John married you it was because you are awesome. Prayers to the entire Popp family, and to all his friends and fellow Officers at the NFTA.
