JOHN STALEY Obituary

STALEY - John C. Of Lockport passed February 9, 2016. Born July 13, 1955, in Cortland, he was the son of Arthur and Jane Staley. He attended DeRuyter Central schools all through childhood. John was active in Boy Scouts, was a carpenter, a blacksmith, a Renaissance man, and a Vietnam Veteran. He was very much an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, working on his farm, his animals, and remodeling houses. He met Lucy in Buffalo in 1985 and they married in 1986. Along with Lucy, he is survived by his children, Charles W. Staley of Buffalo, Delia Staley of Pennsylvania, Jessica Staley of Pennsylvania, Caleb J. (Ashley) Staley of Lockport, Ethan J. (Danielle) Staley of North Syracuse, his sister Christina (Jeff) Blade of Syracuse, nieces Talia and Phoebe Blade, along with many family and friends. Services will be held Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Wilson Conservation Club from 1 to 5 PM.
