John and Irene were two of the kindest people I knew. When I was young, they were perpetually happy, good natured, and attentive. John and Irene were remarkably generous to me as well, passing down fine suits and sewing supplies that were much appreciated by me. I was impressed to learn about Jorgen's activities with the European Underground during Hitler's bloody reign. Jorgen was an expert machinist and could repair almost anything, including watches. It was amazing to see him navigate his octogenarian years with complete ease, mentally alert, and physically active, and always the philanthropist. Even in his final weeks, though impaired, he was sharp as a tack mentally. I'm proud to count him a friend, and I trust he's surprised by joy in passing. God rest Jorgen. Well done. -Franklin-

Jorgan and Irene were dear friends for many years. I am going to miss them both, but especially Jorgan because over the past years he has been my seating partner at the Bonato house when we were both there to celebrate a holiday, or just to have dinner with Mary and Cesar. And I'll also miss our many discussions. Say Hi to Irene.

Jorgen, you were such a special man and we enjoyed your friendship tremendously. Your wife, Irene, always the eternal optimist was also dear to us. We will miss the wonderful discussions solving the world's problems around the holiday tables that we shared over the years. It was an honor and a privilege to be considered your friends.

The Mangors were long time friends of our family for 56 years and Irene worked at the Buffalo Psychiatric Center with my mother until the times of their retirement. Both families were of European backgrounds and both Jorgen and Cesar knew the hell of the Nazis of World War II. Jorgen worked with the British Resistance during that time. As the Mangors and the Bonatos lived close by as neighbors, even the adult children of Cesar and Mary stayed close friends with Irene and Jorgen during visits over the Holidays all through the years. He will forever be etched in our hearts and we already sorely miss him. Ron and Renee (Bonato) Roman, Merritt Island, Fl.
