Joseph RAUBAR Obituary
Passed December 9th, 2022. Beloved husband of Judith Ann Hirsch Raubar. Brother of Kay (Ben) Zwart, Donald (Patricia) Raubar and the late Donna Jean Raubar and John William Raubar. Brother-in-law to Alan Brown and Yoland Raubar. Survived by nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 15th 2022 from 4-7pm at Dietrich Funeral Home, 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst, NY. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 16th, 2022 at 10am at Dietrich Funeral Home, 2480 Kensington Ave., Amherst, NY. Flowers gratefully declined. I am so saddened to hear of Joe´s passing. I met Joe in Fallon, Nevada in 1974, when he was hitchhiking back to the Fallon Naval base and my grandfather picked him up. I was five years old. It was an instant connection. Joe remained my confidant and pen pal, surrounding me with wisdom and smiles for decades. He sent me gifts from abroad, pictures, and words of wisdom from every corner of the earth. Joe guided me through my teens, marriage, parenting, and all other life events. Thank you Joe for a lifetime of memories and unfaltering friendship. Prayers for his loving wife and family. Rest in Peace my friend. - Kathryn McGee-Hamel
