Joseph SCINTA Obituary
Of the Town of Tonawanda, entered into rest on August 10, 2021. Gentle and loving husband of 67 years to Anne (nee Alabiso) Scinta; devoted father of Gary M. Scinta and Judy Scinta; cherished grandfather "Poppy" of Courtney Scinta and Michael Scinta; dear brother of Jane Moneypenny, Michael Scinta, Fran (Bill) DeMonte and the late Josephine, Rose, Mary, Samuel, Lucy and Annie; loving brother-in-law of Mary Cora "Dolly" (Angelo) Runfola and the late Jerry Alabiso; also survived by nieces and nephews. Joseph served his country as a US Navy Veteran. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for relatives and friends at St. John the Baptist Church, 1085 Englewood Ave., Buffalo, on Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock. Entombment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements by LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel). Online condolences may be offered at www.lombardofuneralhome.com

Joe was a great guy, neighbor, father and friend. Living 5 houses down and hanging with Gary my whole life, I knew Joe pretty well. Always willing to help us with anything. He used to beat us in basketball in the driveway...then we got older and he got smaller (if you know what I mean). He came to all our football games, he was our "official" filmographer with one of those huge cameras, back in the day.
Joe will be missed by many...RIP Joe
