Dad, It is not getting any easier to say farewell even though it has been 1,1/2 months. Your being gone has not sunk in yet, and I miss you from the minute I get up til I fall asleep. Sometimes I am, ok, sometimes I am not. Judy

Judy and Family, I was saddened to hear of your father's passing. I remember Dr. Joe from our childhood years and always had fond memories of him calling at our house or up at Bay Beach. My prayers are with you at this time of loss.

To the entire Tannenhaus Family:
I am so sorry for your loss. My brother Kevin & I will always remember Dr. Joe as our kind and caring "beach" doctor. At any sign of an ear infection or insect bite my mother (Dolly) would march us up to see Joe and he always fixed whatever ailment we had. He was also a compassionate summer caregiver for my grandparents, Kitty & Paddy Byrne. He was the epitome of a caring old-school style physician. I will always remember him raking seaweed on the beach in his flowery bathing suits and smoking his cigars. You were blessed to have him for 93 years! I'd like to think that Joe is now on his beautiful beach and that Bob & Dolly are just down the way...

Our father was a wonderful person and we were so lucky to have him in our lives. He was a inspiring role model who loved to learn and instilled in us a sense of wonder, always learning and yet teaching at the same time. I will miss him every day of the rest of my life! Thank you, Dad!

Dad, I love and miss you deeply everyday. You were the best father, mentor, and example any child, grandchild, and great grandchild could have ever had. Thank you for your wisdom, tender care, attention and your awesome sense of humor. I only wish I could tell a joke the way that you did. Other than that, and, oh, also my poor spelling, I promise to do my best to pass it forward to those I love and care about.
