Judy MATECKI Obituary
(nee Davern)
82, of North Tonawanda, Saturday (November 12, 2022) at home surrounded by family under the care of Niagara Hospice. Judy was born in Dunkirk, New York on January 31, 1940 to Raymond and Helen (Jozwiak) Davern. Judy retired from Tops Markets as a cashier after 40 years, she was also a union steward for Local Union 1, she was a member of the Third Warder's Social Club, and an auxiliary member of the Sikora Post 1322. Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years David "Bozo" Matecki, children Kathleen (Roger) Mangus, Dr. Elizabeth (Jeff) Conroy, and Tim "Boomer" (Sue) Matecki, brother John (Marie) Davern, brothers and sister in laws Gerald Matecki, Christine (Frank) Maraschiello, Michael Matecki (LuCretia), Sandra (Ronald) Pazik, and John Matecki, grandchildren Matthew (Laura) Mangus, Benjamin (Katy) Mangus, Patrick (fiancé Olivia) Mangus, Rachel (fiancé Hunter) Mangus, Dr. Dylan (fiancé Marilyn) Conroy, Dr. Jacob (fiancé Isabella) Conroy, Julia Conroy, Samuel Conroy, and Chloe Matecki and great grandchildren Brayden, Preston, and Raelyn Mangus, also surviving are many nieces, nephews and friends.
Friends may call Tuesday from 4:00 PM-8:00 PM at the Wattengel Funeral Home, 533 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda. Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM from Our Lady Czestochowa Church, 64 Center Ave, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. Wattengel.com
