Regina Matecki

Mrs. Regina Matecki of Nashville, IL departed this life at Washington County Hospital in Nashville, IL on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 9:36 P.M. She had attained the age of 101 years, 9 months and 6 days.
Regina was born on September 11, 1922, at Bolo Township, Washington County, IL the daughter of Steve and Katie (nee Brink) Liszewski. She was united in marriage to Leo P. Matecki on May 11, 1946, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL and he preceded her in death on November 2, 1990.
Regina worked alongside her husband and family on the family farm. Some of her hobbies that she enjoyed doing included sewing, quilting, gardening vegetables and flowers, canning and playing pinochle. Regina loved her family dearly and cherished spending time with her family and friends.
Left to mourn her passing are her 2 children, Arthur Matecki and wife Joyce and Cheryl Colbrook and husband Jay all of Nashville, IL; son-in-law, Rick Pytlinski of Ashley; 9 grandchildren, Mark (Ginger) Matecki, Scott (Desiree) Matecki, Alicia (Earl) Lucci, Renee (Greg) Dietz, Stefanie (Ryan) Easley, Thomas Colbrook, Jarrett (Robin) Pytlinski, Stacy (Kevin) Helm and Jason Pytlinski; 21 great grandchildren, Halle, Sawyer and Audrey Matecki, Jace and Paityn Matecki, Piper and Nicolas Lucci, Elsie, Will, Abby, Daniel, Nicolas and Hannah Dietz, Leo, Radcliff and Weston Easley, Caitlyn, Anthony (AJ) and Malachi Pytlinski, Evelyn and Cora Helm; 2 sisters, Dorothy Malawy and Helen Lamczyk; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Alice Pytlinski; 3 brothers, Eddie (Cecilia) Liszewski, Sylvester (Barbara) Liszewski and Alex (Louise) Liszewski; a sister, Annie (Dominic) Bauza; 4 brothers-in-law, Sylvester (Rose) Matecki, Frank (Martha) Matecki, Stanley Lamczyk and Alvin Malawy; 2 sisters-in-law, Theresa (Casimer) Ryterski and Hattie (Cyril) Malawy and a great grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11 A.M. with Fr. Andy Knopik officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Friends may call at the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Posen, IL on Saturday from 8 A.M. until the service hour.
Should friends desire, mass offerings or memorials can be made to the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery or the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Building Fund and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home, who is assisting the arrangements.
