Karen BRODFUEHRER Obituary
(nee Hartman)
Of Amherst, entered into rest on November 25, 2022. Beloved wife of 55 years to Donald E. Brodfuehrer; devoted mother of Kelli (Craig) Schreivogl and Kara Brodfuehrer; cherished grandmother of Evan Schreivogl and Arya Brodfuehrer; loving daughter of the late Helen (nee Kubisty) and Alvin Hartman; dear sister of Barbara (Joseph) DiMatteo and the late Ronald (Pat) Hartman; also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Karen grew up in Blasdell, NY, and attended Frontier High School. She spent the majority of her career at the University at Buffalo, retiring in 2004. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. (near Eggert Rd.) on Thursday, Dec. 1st from 3-7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Christopher's RC Church, 2660 Niagara Falls Blvd. in Tonawanda, on Friday, December 2, at 9:30 AM, followed by interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Karen's name to Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Leave condolences at www.lombardofuneralhome.com.

I´m so saddened to learn of Karen´s death. I have fond memories of you and your family from my days of growing up in your "backyard" on Gilbert
Ave and working with you as Playground Counselors at the Silver Street playground on

I will miss Karen very much. Working with her was a pleasure and what she brought with her to the workplace was a smile and enjoyment to everyone she touched. She was always very proud of her family.
