Kathy PETER Obituary
(nee Galambos)
Age 70, of the City of Tonawanda, unexpectedly, January 18, 2022. Loving wife of 44 years to Dale R. Peter; mother of Jason Paul Peter, of Chattanooga, TN, Jessica Alexis (Joseph) Roberto, of Des Moines, IA, and Julie Katharine (Joseph) Flowers, of Simi Valley, CA; grandmother of Brynn, Richmond, Madelyn, and Cameron; daughter of the late Alex F. and Matilda M. Galambos; sister of Mary Jane (late Douglas) Bruce, Colleen Galambos, and the late Betty Ann Galambos. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Kathy was a 1969 graduate of Tonawanda High School. She was an Administrative Assistant at Canisius College for 25 years and was an active volunteer for many local organizations. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, January 23rd, from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM, at JOHN O. ROTH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts) in Tonawanda. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 24th, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 107 Scott St. (corner of William St) in Tonawanda. Everyone is welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Kathy may be made to Hope For Cats, Inc., PO Box 243, N. Boston, NY 14110, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be shared at www.ROTHFUNERAL.com

Kathy was great! We both took accordion lessons at Slater's Music and occasionally played in the band. First time I went to the band, she tried to play her accordion upside down. I'll always remember her!

As a Tonawanda High School classmate, coworker at Canisius College, and HS reunion teammate, I can say that all through the years, she was a friend to me and was always kind to all!
