Katrina WOBSCHALL

WOBSCHALL - Katrina (nee Schillke) Age 81, born in Buffalo on January 30, 1935. She was welcomed into heaven hours before her 82nd birthday, on January 29, 2017. Katrina was a medical technologist when she married Darold Wobschall in April, 1957. They sang in choir together at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for sixty years until a couple of months before her passing, raised three children and enjoyed art, music and trying new recipes that she had found. Katrina enjoyed gardening - identifying plants by their botanical names. She loved reading and language, which she applied to editing Darold's text book, as the household spelling expert and doing crosswords; she always enjoyed a good pun. She was active at Holy Trinity and participated in groups at the University of Buffalo. Katrina was a graduate from UB and a faculty spouse. In the latter capacity, she hosted many international students' spouses (and children) in her own home, helping them experience our culture through such experiences as baking apple pies. She is survived by her beloved husband Darold and children Tina Nancollas, Leah Wiliford and Eric Wobschall, as well as brothers Peter and Chris Schillke, sister Gretchen Carpenter, late sister Lisa Malmin and eight grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 3 at AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Dr. (at Hopkins Rd.) from 4-8 PM. A Memorial Service will take place at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church at 1080 Main St., Buffalo, on Saturday, February 4 at 1 PM. Friends invited.
