Kurt Ferdinand Obituary

Ferdinand, Kurt

Age 63, of Delevan, New York, passed away on June 29, 2025. Born on June 30, 1961, Kurt graduated from John I. Leonard High School and went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy from 1981 to 1986. As a Petty Officer, he was awarded the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with two Bronze Stars. Following his military service, he worked as a Boiler Technician with BJ Muirhead and later as a Millwright with TAM Ceramics. Kurt was a devoted husband to Nancy Ferdinand and a loving father to his children Sarah (Matthew) Wittmeyer and Shawn Ferdinand (Candace Senno) from a previous marriage. Stepfather to Jessica Bilkey (Matthew Roth), Michelle (Jason) Kline, and George (Jessica) Bilkey. He was a proud grandfather to Lucy Ferdinand, Cedar Wittmeyer, Elora Ferdinand, Violet Wittmeyer, and Mack Ferdinand. He also cherished his step-grandchildren Myla Kline, Kaylin Kline, Kiera Kline, Clayton Kline, Maxon Roth, Tyler Roth, Henry Bilkey, and Brady Bilkey. Brother to Lori (Curtis) Cajka and John Ferdinand. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Cleone Ferdinand, and his brother, Scott Ferdinand. Kurt found great joy in the outdoors and loved fishing and hunting. He was a passionate Buffalo sports fan. Known for his kindness and generosity, he was a friend to everyone he met. He was a proud Veteran. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor Kurt's life. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
