Of Orchard Park, NY, husband of Marcia Berkowitz, died on Thursday, September 15, 2022. Len was born in Syosset, New York in 1948. He fell in love with Western New York when he came to the University of Buffalo for Law School. He was a successful attorney in private practice specializing in matrimonial law. He loved sharing the building where he practiced law in Orchard Park with Ed Pace. This place of business that Leonard and Ed owned together, was dedicated in August 2022, and is now known as the Berkowitz and Pace building. He was the Orchard Park town attorney for over 30 years and was named Best Municipal Attorney. He was a member of the New York State Bar Association Committee on Professional Ethics. He was active in the Republican Committee and past president of the Orchard Park Lions Club. Len loved laughing and telling corny jokes, playing golf, visiting the library, reading and talking about history and current events with anyone who would lend an ear. He loved his town, Orchard Park, and spent summers at Lake Chautauqua. He had many wonderful friends and family members who will miss him and his loud, bellowing laugh.
