Lois JEFFERY Obituary
(nee Schilde)
December 14, 2020, at age 81, after a remarkable lifetime of faithfulness to Jesus and enriching the lives of many. Deeply loved by her husband of 58 years, Gary, three children, Amy (Jim Ellis) Jeffery, Katherine (David) Schmeissing, David (Laura) Jeffery and eight grandchildren, Luke, Charlotte, Anna, Carly, Ben, Noah, Annika and Miles; also survived by two brothers, Milt and Steve; two sisters, Betty and Evelyn and many cousins, nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. The family will gather in the future to remember her beautiful life. Arrangements by THE DIETRICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2480 Kensington Avenue, Amherst. Dear Dr. Jeffery, Amy, Katy and David, we send our deepest condolences to you and your families. We will always remember Mrs. Jeffery as an energetic and generous person who was always interested in and caring for all the Randall Church kids. She welcomed us to your home for youth group events such as progressive dinners and always had something interesting to share or a question to ask. In the past few years, she along with Dr. Jeffery generously opened the backyard pool and shared time with us during the visits my family made to Amherst from Singapore. We pray that the Lord of all comfort will be especially close to you at this time of sadness. Dear Gary and Jeffery Family, As you know we have been blessed to live next door to Lois for decades--- Lois was truly iconic, the kindest of souls who never failed to speak her mind and share her thoughts :-) .... On sunny days as we were busy shuffling boys to and fro, it was a comfort and light to hear the ever present chatter from Lois on your back patio or the splashing from your pool-- often Lois would chime in through the bushes, her comments ALWAYS brought a smile.....I will forever have the memory of Gary and Lois walking down Brantwood arm in arm up until just weeks ago....and I will always admire Lois' strength and spirit ... as heartbreaking as this is, I am grateful to know that our Maggie Mae has greeted Lois Over the Rainbow Bridge....God Bless .....

Dr. Jeffery, Dave, Amy and Katey,
My heart and all my love goes out to you. Mrs. Jeffery (Lois) was like a second Mom to me growing up and I have many happy memories with her and all of you from days at the beach to the simple times on Roycroft. She is your angle now and will watch over you forever.
