Louise MARCY-KOPIN Obituary
of Marilla, entered into rest on August 6, 2023, at the age of 82; beloved daughter of the late Louis and Stella Marcy; dear sister of Louis (late Marjorie); loving aunt of Michael and Laura; adored stepmother of Kathy (Dale) Burke and Peter Kopin; cherished grandmother of April Burke and Amy Burke; great-grandmother of Trenton, Tori, Mackenzie, Jeffrey, and Brayden. Louise retired from ECMC after many years of dedicated and compassionate service as an Assistant Director of Nursing. Louise displayed remarkable strength and courage throughout her battle with cancer. A private service for the immediate family was held at the Holy Cross Cemetery Holy Trinity Mausoleum. Memorials in Louise's name may be made to the Charlotte House Comfort Care Home in North Java, NY. Arrangements by Buszka Funeral Home Inc.

It is with deep sympathy that we mourn the loss of Louann. She was a very special person, gentle and caring. Louann comes from a large family (Lanc/Buczek) and as one her many cousins, we are very fortunate to have some great memories from many family get togethers.. Even though we have been separated for awhile now, she was never forgotten and we will continue to keep her in our thoughts and hearts. Rest in peace, a peace you so courageously have earned.

Lou Ann, as I knew her growing up, was one of my favorite cousins. Always smiling and so sweet. I loved being around her. God bless and rest in peace Lou Ann.

Louise was one of the more memorable nurses I worked with at the famous Buffalo hospital, originally the E.J. Meyer and subsequently ECMC. My condolences to her family.
