Dear Marc, Adele, and Family,
My heartfelt condolences to the Viguera family. I fondly remember Dr. Viguera as an adviser and a true friend when I was a graduate student and she worked at SUNYAB health services and would discuss with me tropical disease. I became good friends with the family, and Adele and Marc would often pick me up from my apartment for dinners. The love, the lively discussions will be part of the legacy of Luisa. Notwithstanding, the family love for foreign students was unmatched.

Dear Marc, Adele and Family,
Still think about your mom every time I pass the Lamb's Tail Flowers that are in our Garden. We gave her some to plant and she was so very happy about that. I pray that you always have peaceful moments knowing that she loved you and that she knew that she was loved as well. God Bless You.

Dear Dr. Viguera,
I am deeply sorry for your loss. I remember the kindness and hospitality that you and your wife showed my sister and me when we were kids. My father always spoke so highly of you both. I will keep Luisa, as well as you and Adele, in my prayers.

Dear Marc,
Padma and I are deeply saddened to learn of Luisa's sudden departure from all of us. She was a great human being with great compassion and I still remember the first thanks giving Padma and I spent at your house when we came to Buffalo.

Dear Marc, Adele and family,
It was a pleasure to have the honor of knowing Luisa. She was not just an ordinary woman by any means. An accomplished doctor, an excellent mother, dedicated wife, devoted grandmother and an avid antique collector. A down to earth Elegant Lady.
She seemed genuinely interested in everyone she met.
As she now is greeting those who have gone on before her...July 7th is just the First Day of Her New Assignment.
The zest for life she had continues more so now and forever. Heaven rejoices and God is Happy to Have Her.
May the Lord Comfort You All in Knowing ..... SHE LIVES.

Dear Dr. Viguera,
I was so sorry to read about your wife's passing. She was such a loving and caring doctor when I worked with her at SUNY at Buffalo in the early 1980's. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Marc,
God never created a more elegant lady as Luisa. Suzanne and I still remember the friendship and guidance you and Luisa provided during our early arrival back to Buffalo. We were blessed to have been able to visit with her on Mother's day before the tragic discovery of her disease.
May you realize consolation in your time of grief and know that she will be missed by all who knew her.

I worked with your mom in the 1970's at SUNYAB Student Health Center. We had a number of foreign students and I remember how well versed she was in diseases we did not typically see in the US. I was a nurse in my 20's at that time, and found she was so kind. She diagnosed my pneumonia when I was too busy to see my own doc...loved your mom, and am so sorry for your loss. Jane E O'Leary

My sincere condolences to the Viguera family. Dr. Viguera was a beautiful woman inside and out. She had an uncommonly genuine grace and manner. Her love of life, and of people in general, was readily apparent in her warm interactions with others.
I would like to express our deepest sympathies from the entire Daly family.

Only a couple days ago, I saw a woman in Wegmans who at first I thought was Luisa Viguera and I was disappointed it wasn't. I chatted with Luisa any number of times in Wegmans though not lately. I was shocked to open the paper today and see this. Luisa was a gentle and lovely woman. Our hearts go out to all of you, Marcie Frankel and Susan Frankel Bawer
