Marge was such an authentic person. You could be yourself with her. She introduced me to Chautauqua in 1961. I loved her sense of humor, her braininess. Condolences to the family. She was one in a billion. It's a very great loss.

To the family,
You do not know me, but I had the privilege to meet Margery back in 2003 during a presentation at a local library. She was delightful. I was a budding writer then and she was full of encouraging words of wisdom. She graciously invited me to lunch too. A family crisis for me followed and we never did meet. But, I have never forgotten her kind words, the writing tips and insights she shared. From one grateful writer to another, Thank you.

Dear family and friends of Marge,
She was an angel sent to me by God. My roommate in St. Joes hospital and Marge helped this young, scared woman. Our lives crossed many paths since that time at St. Joe's. I am proud to be the owner of several of her books that my daughter, Danielle still cherishes and will have to share with her children some day. God Bless you Marge. He took a very talented woman from us all.

Dear Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Aunt Margie's passing last month. I have many wonderful memories (my favorite ones are from West Falls) of time spent with her and of course Uncle Howard too. What wonderful people they both were - I was proud to call them my Aunt and Uncle. Please know that our hearts go out to all of you. With love always, Lynn (Facklam), Dean, Faith & Jonathan Nolan

It was with great sorrow that I Learned of Midge's passing. I have fond memories of our holiday family dinners in West Falls. Also, I'll always remember the lunch we had at Howard's Pub on Ocracoke Island.
May she rest in peace and may God bless you all.
