In Loving Memory of Marjorie Beahan Vandenack, passed away at 93, surrounded by her family.

Born in Buffalo, New York, Marjorie obtained her Bachelor of Art in Education at Buffalo State. She taught in California where she met Roger Vandenack, serving in the Navy. They made Yutan, Nebraska their home. Marjorie obtained a Master of Arts in Education and taught generations of students in the Yutan schools.

She tutored at under-resourced schools. She picked challenging books and encouraged critical thinking in her book Group. She was a docent for The Holland Center and the Orpheum.

An avid swimmer, she swam and worked out daily till the day she passed. The weekend before her passing she was swinging a golf club at TopGolf.

She travelled to 35 countries, made annual Santa trips with friends, loved any trip with family. She brought joy, warmth, and wit to every moment.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Vandenack. Marjorie is survived by her children: Joe (Christine) Vandenack, Matthew Vandenack, Mary Vandenack, and Patricia Intrator (Mike); her older brother, Laurence T. Beahan, M.D.; grandchildren: Michael, Anna, Jacob, Wyatt and Wade; step-grandchildren, Lizzie and Paul West; nieces and nephews.

Marjorie lives on in the stories she told, her adventures, writings, and the love she gave so freely.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society/Nebraska Chapter; American Heart Association/Nebraska Chapter; YMCA; and Omaha Public Library.
