Mark was a person that his name was frequently positively brought up in the Hoak home in Buffalo NY. Mark was a cherished and life long friend of my late brother, Dennis. It was a friendship that started early in their childhood days of South Buffalo, grew as they spent their time at St Francis High School and continued throughout their lives. Although they did not communicate often in later years - it remained a steadfast and close friendship with mutual admiration and respect. Mark’s inspiration was always recognized he was a born leader and inspirational Christian man. Our heartfelt condolences to all that new and loved Mark, especially the Finucane family. May he RIP.

I will always remember Mark walking up and down our street each day. He took a genuine interest in my sports, often asking about soccer and running, and even checking the paper when I was mentioned. His unwavering dedication to staying active and his constant encouragement made him a true role model for me growing up.

God bless you Mark. I was just a little kid, youngest of the Kavanaughs, when you organized races up and down Downing Street. You were such a great inspiration. " To the bushes and back!" .. I always admired you and your kind heart. I loved your mom and dad, and sister Roseanne. Until we meet again, Martha Kavanaugh
