Fantastic person, perhaps the kindest man I have ever known! I have so many memories from staying with this generous family during my youth. I was just 13 years old when Marks brother Howard said to me, "you got to come to my neighborhood". I did and a couple years on, I had the best years a young man could ever dream at 23 Cottonwood Drive... 1977 might have been the best year ever! Mark, Jay, Marsha, Dave and especially Howard. I could write a book thinking of all the "things". Thank You!

Dear Kathy,
I wish to convey my deepest sympathy to you and your son for the loss of Mark. I worked with him many years ago when he was a respiratory therapist at Millard. He was always smiling and happy. Cherish the fond memories, and know that many people share in your loss, and have you in their thoughts.

I am deeply sorry to hear of your loss. I played hockey with his son Joey back when I was about 11 or 12 years old and I will always remember him as the father on the team who I liked and got along with the most. He was a great person and a dynamite father to Joe. Stay strong...all of my love and thoughts.

Dear Kathy,
When I first hired Mark from Millard Filmore Respiratory Dept I knew very quickly what a friendly, energetic guy I was about to work with over the next few years. We sure did have some good times. I had a cocktail with him a couple of years ago at MEDTRADE in Atlanta and caught up with each others lives. I was both shocked and saddened to hear the news of his passing.
To Joseph: Your dad was so very proud of you and bragged about you from the moment you were born. So much so that we use to refer to you as "St Joesph" whenever we would ask Mark how you were doing.

Kathy and Family, I was so sorry to hear about Mark's passing. Mark spent a lot of time at our house when we were kids as he was a very close friend of my brother's. He made us laugh all of the time and was a big part of our family. I also had the pleasure of meeting you a few years ago when I was working at Sears. Dear Kathy & Joe,
I don't need to tell you what a great guy Mark was, everyone knows that. What I would like to tell you and what you will hear over and over and over again is how he touched every single person he knew in a special way. Always making them feel special and important. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten by anyone who knew him. A man as kind and generous as Mark, will never be forgotten. My boys and I have always felt honored to have been a friend of Mark Schrutt.
