Marsha STEVENS Obituary
Passed Wednesday, July 6th, 2022, in Rochester, NY after a brief illness. Marsha was the daughter of the late E. K. and Twila (Williams) Stevens. A graduate of Lewiston Porter, she attended SUNY Brockport where she graduated in 1960, eventually going on to receive her master's degree in Education. Her first teaching position was at Emmett Belknap Middle School in Lockport, NY, before going to the Rochester/Pittsford School System. She was a consummate educator, with a life devoted to teaching and inspiring others to improve themselves. She was an incredible daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt ,friend, author, and lecturer. Marsha is survived by her brother, Charles (Carol) Stevens; nieces and nephews, John (Kristel) Stevens, Mark (Rhonda) Stevens, Jennifer (Michael) Stevens-St. John, Scott Stevens, Cynthia Stevens Weeks, Jeffrey Stevens, James Stevens, Marchette (James) Paul, David (Kathy) Stevens and Lee (Kara) Stevens; as well as great-nieces, and nephews Willow, Brook, Thalon and Rain Paul, John Marshall Stevens, Saratoga Stevens, and Gracelynn Stevens. Marsha was predeceased by her siblings, Kenneth (Judith) Stevens, John A. Stevens Sr., and Judy M. Stevens; and by her longtime companion Rita Bates. Marsha leaves her family and friends with many wonderful memories. A special thanks to her caregivers, Mary, Kaylie, Julie, Marie, Lisa, and Patty. Calling hours will be held at the HARDISON FUNERAL HOMES INC., 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville, NY 14131 on TUESDAY from 3-8 PM. (July 19). Funeral Services will be held on WEDNESDAY in the funeral home at 10 AM. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery Wilson, NY. Memorials may be made the Niagara Co. SPCA or Niagara Hospice. Please visit
